What can I do with a dossier account?
Our dossier accounts allow students to request, manage, and send confidential letters of recommendation, along with other documents and credentials. This service ensures that confidential letters stay confidential, while allowing candidates to bundle letters with other application materials and deliver them to search committees efficiently. If your school is one of our partners, your advisors will also be able to view your letters and documents through the advisor portal.
Can PrivateFolio deliver letters to application portals for health related graduate programs, such as medical schools, dental schools, and nursing schools?
Yes, we deliver confidential letters of recommendation to all major health-studies related application systems including those run by AMCAS-AAMC, AACOMAS, AADSAS, NursingCAS, TMDSAS and CASPA. When prompted to provide your letter writer's contact information in these systems, simply enter the unique email address that we assigned to your letter. For AMCAS, we have a dedicated feature that interfaces with their Letter Writer Application.
Is the confidentiality of letters guaranteed and FERPA protected?
Yes
I'm a letter writer and I lost the email request with my upload link or I'm having trouble uploading a letter, what can I do?
No problem, simply email us the letter at help@privatefolio.com and we'll take care of it. You'll receive a confirmation email once the letter has been processed.
Can my Pre-Health Advising Center or Career Center partner with PrivateFolio to offer dossier services to our students for free or at discounted rates, and can we access their letters?
Yes, we provide an easy to use advisor portal, and there is no limit to the number of advisors who can have admin accounts or to the number of student accounts that advisors can view. Schools can pass on dossier costs to students, or choose to subsidize part or all of these costs. Reach out to us at

Our Pre-Health Advising Center would prefer to maintain control over deliveries, can we use your platform just to help manage the collection of letters, letter review, and committee letter assembly?
Yes, and this keeps costs to a bare minimum.
